The state of emergency expires on March 31, but data already indicates that the pandemic is in the process of retreating. Not so the bureaucracy and the protocols to follow, always complex and tortuous. It is therefore time to simplify and normalize. Enough with the colored bands, the sick for other pathologies counted among the Covid hospitalized, the asymptomatic undergoing health surveillance, the students vaccinated in dad. This - at the end of a summit in the morning between the governors - the unanimous position of the Regions, which will be put in black and white in a document to be submitted to the Government's attention. Premier and ministers are grappling with the elections for the head of state, but there is the political will to review the restrictive measures. On Wednesday 2 February there will be a confrontation between the State and the Regions.
The president of the Conference of Regions, Massimiliano Fedriga, clarified the objective: "to look to the future and proceed rapidly towards a normalization of the situation that will allow a more orderly recovery and the relaunch of our country".
Two, in particular, the underlined points: "definitively overcome the color system of the risk areas together with the need for health surveillance to be reserved for symptomatic subjects".
They will form part of the document to be sent to the Government "which will be an essential platform for the future confrontation between the Executive and the Regions".
