(ANSA) - RAMALLAH, 01 MAR - A Palestinian was killed and another seriously injured during a raid conducted yesterday by Israeli military forces in the refugee camp of Jenin, in the occupied West Bank.
This was announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The Israeli army "opened fire on the Jenin camp," the ministry said in a statement.
Palestinian security sources specified that the man who died was called Abdullah Hosari.
He was a former prisoner, according to the Wafa news agency.
A second man was "seriously injured in the head by live bullets" and was taken to hospital.
Last week, Israeli forces killed a 14-year-old Palestinian who they said was throwing bombs near the city of Bethlehem.
Some 475,000 Jewish settlements live in the West Bank, along with 2.9 million Palestinians, in settlements mostly considered illegal under international law.
