Ukraine, Copasir will do an in-depth study on disinformation

In today's session Copasir resolved to carry out "an in-depth study on foreign interference and disinformation activities, also in order to preserve editorial and informational freedom and autonomy from any form of conditioning, with particular reference to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine ".

This was announced by the president of the Committee, Adolfo Urso, adding that "in this regard, the hearings of the director of Aisi, Mario Parente, on Wednesday 11 May, of the CEO of Rai, Carlo Fuortes, on Thursday 12 May are already scheduled. and of the Agcom president, Giacomo Lasorella, on Wednesday 18 May ". 

Copasir, Urso recalls, "has long placed its attention, in the context of the hybrid threat, on the use of cyber space, fake news, social networks and forms of conditioning on public and private media, such as instruments of interference by invasive state actors. The Committee also acquired further elements during the hearing of the Prime Minister, held on April 5, as well as in that of the director of Aise held yesterday ".
