The Department of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in the Excellence and Creativity Authority continues to accept applications for participation in the National Robotics Championship “WRO.. Syria 2022” for teams, which is scheduled to be held during the month of next July in the Sports City Hall in Lattakia.
In its statement, which SANA received a copy of today, the Olympics administration called on robotics enthusiasts from all school levels in all governorates to participate in the tournament by filling out the electronic form on the website of the Excellence and Creativity Authority, until the fifteenth of this month.
The tournament includes four competitions, the first being “robot missions for three age groups: the primary category for ages 8 to 12 years old to design a “gardening robot”, the middle category for ages 11 to 15 years old to design a “rescue robot” and the upper category for ages 14 to 19 years old to design a “care robot” “.
The second is the “Future Creators” competition, which also includes the three age groups “primary, middle and upper” and is dedicated to home, rescue and health care robots. The third is the “Future Engineers” competition for ages 14 to 19, while the fourth competition is for “sports robots” for ages from 11 to 19 years old.
This tournament qualifies to participate in the World Robot Olympiad, which will be held in Germany in mid-November under the title “My Robot My Friend.” Participants are asked to design and develop robots to carry out multiple tasks in parks, laboratories and hospitals, and apply them within the racetrack in the national and international championships.
On the nineteenth of last February, the Excellence and Creativity Authority announced the conditions and rules for applying for the National Robotics Championship, and set the deadline for accepting applications for participation on the fifteenth of this month.
