With 3 votes against and 5 abstentions, the National Direction of the Democratic Party, gathered at the Nazarene, approved the lists for the candidates
in view of the next elections during the night.
The secretary of the Democratic Party will be a candidate as head of the Chamber in Lombardy and Veneto
while
Carlo Cottarelli
will be head of the Senate in Milan and the professor and microbiologist
Andrea Crisanti
will be head of the European Parliament.
Among the candidates in contention there will also be 4 young people under 35 indicated as leaders.
They are:
Rachele Scarpa, Cristina Cerroni, Raffaele La Regina, Marco Sarracino.
Sources of the Democratic Party assure that gender equality has been respected in the composition of the candidates on the lists.
