In Innernzell, Lower Bavaria, a farmer was crushed to death by a cow.
As the police in Straubing announced, the 48-year-old wanted to drive the animal into the stable on Friday.
He was "massively pressed against a metal grid" by the cow.
The man's daughter called the emergency services, who took the injured man to a hospital.
There he succumbed to severe internal injuries.
The police initiated investigations and at the same time spoke of a “tragic accident”.
There are no indications of third-party or grossly negligent fault.
