The new version of the popular battle royale shooter will be released this year.
We'll tell you here when the starting signal for "Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0" will be given.
Battle royale games are very trendy.
One of the most popular titles from the genre is Call of Duty: Warzone.
The developers added the mode for the first time in 2020, and since then it has been an integral part of "CoD".
Rumors about a possible successor have been circulating for a long time, even if "Warzone" receives regular updates.
Warzone 2.0 has now been officially confirmed as part of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
It will be released later this year.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 launches in November 2022
Players no longer have to wait long for WZ 2 to start.
The starting signal for the first season will be given on November 16, as the developers have now announced as part of the "CoD Next" event.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0: What's new?
"Warzone 2.0" brings many changes to the proven Battle Royale formula that bring a breath of fresh air into the game.
By and large, the innovations from "Modern Warfare 2" are taken over.
We have listed the most important features here:
The circle that players are allowed to be in will now split into several separate circles as the game progresses.
At the end of the round, they will reunite.
The game world will feature fortresses with AI enemies.
Vehicles can be hijacked and have improved combat options.
New vehicles will also be integrated, including a heavy helicopter.
The Gunsmith is at it again.
A third-person view can also be optionally set.
Since this gives an advantage, there will be specific servers where this camera setting is available.
Players will generally be more agile, for example they will be able to dive for cover.
Underwater battles and diving are integrated.
In the Gulag you can team up with another player and there are also AI enemies.
There are new Persons of Interest (POIs).
A new "DMZ" mode is introduced, which is comparable to games like "Escape from Tarkov" or "Hunt Showdown".
