Many fashionistas and fashion enthusiasts in Israel and the world follow international fashion shows, influencers and super brands.
They are amazed by the exclusive items that inspire them and make them want to wear them themselves.
So what prevents them from purchasing these fashion items?
The price, of course, ranges from thousands of dollars to tens of thousands.
As an answer to the problem and the cost of living, the trend of online stores for second-hand items of super brands is increasing worldwide.
The second-hand fashion market is currently estimated at between 100 and 120 billion dollars worldwide.
Whether the increase is due to ecological, economic motives or a desire to follow stars like Rihanna and Zendaya, who adopted the trend and present second-hand items on display at red carpet events, it seems that this is a positive phenomenon that benefits the planet as well as our pockets.

We discussed the issue with Dana Zermon, a fashion anchor and TV presenter, who shared her opinion with us: "I think it's an amazing solution, which works great for both parties. Even for those who bought an expensive item that is no longer in use, and it's a shame for the money they invested in it, and also for those who want to show off luxury brands and not can afford the copy amounts to buy directly in stores."
Does the fact that the item was bought second hand damage its prestige?
"I don't think so. In the end, the bag is the same bag, and I usually buy brands based on the design and the desire I have for the item, rather than its 'prestige'. It bothers me less, but maybe there are some who are bothered by it," she says.

Do you buy second-hand luxury items yourself?
"Of course, I've had the chance to buy several times already, and I was very satisfied. I recommend a site called therealreal, the items from it are of high quality and in excellent condition," she recommends.

A trend gaining momentum or a passing trend?
To understand if this is really a global trend, or a phenomenon that focuses on the borders of the country, we turned to trendologist Natali Yitzhakov.
She explains: "This is a phenomenon that is becoming popular and gaining momentum in recent years, out of an understanding and exposure to the pollution of fashion companies and large factories, and the desire to protect the planet."
"There is another perspective, which treats these items as art and as a long-term investment, in the traditional style of passing items from mother to daughter. This happens in the world of furniture, where there is a combination of old furniture from important designers, whose value sometimes even increases, she adds. "There is a place for it. Important in the world of fashion, and we see it also in the prestigious department store Selfridges in London, which offers a department of second-hand luxury brands.
I think the message to the consumer audience is a welcome one, and as far as buying super brands - the option of buying second hand is definitely realistic," she concludes.
