The first season of House of the Dragon served as a template for a Targaryen civil war over the crown.

This will also include the bloodthirsty storyline of Blood and Cheese from George RR Martin's book Fire and Blood in the second season.

The first season of the acclaimed Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon ended with Prince Aemond's (Ewan Mitchell) mighty dragon shockingly killing young Prince Lucerys (Elliot Grihault), sparking definitive war between the Greens and Greens meant to the blacks who had already gotten their Targaryen hair on over the Crown and Iron Throne of Westeros.

Series writer Sara Hess, who also worked on House and Orange Is the New Black, recently confirmed via Variety that the second season will also feature the highly anticipated Blood and Cheese storyline.

These are the nicknames for two characters from George RR Martin's historical fantasy lore "Fire & Blood" who, via Prince Daemon (Matt Smith) and Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy), are involved in a plot for revenge against Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke ) and her family become implicated.
