(ANSA) - LAMPEDUSA, MARCH 09 - There was also a shipwreck, yesterday afternoon, off Lampedusa, the second within a few hours in the Sar area, with an 8-metre boat set sail from Sfax, Tunisia, which sank.
During the rescue operation, the CP324 patrol boat of the Port Authority saved 20 migrants, originally from Cameroon and Ivory Coast, and recovered the body of a young woman.
The body and the survivors were landed in Lampedusa at about 2.20 last night.
Also yesterday another small boat was wrecked and the Coast Guard and Finance Police had rescued 38 migrants, including a minor and eleven women (ANSA).
