This is how easy it is to prepare the sweet rhubarb syrup:

  • Mix the rhubarb peels and sections with the sugar in a saucepan and cover and let it steep for at least 1 hour.
  • Cover and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • Pour through a fine sieve into a second saucepan.
  • Season the liquid with lemon juice and simmer to a syrup.
