The industrial city of Hassia has spent on its investment projects since the beginning of this year, one billion and eighty six million Syrian pounds of the total investment plan of three billion two hundred and thirty million Syrian pounds.
Dr. Bassam Al-Mansour, Director of the Industrial City in Hassia, told SANA Economic Bulletin that the investment plan included a number of vital projects in the field of implementing and developing infrastructure, pointing to the completion of lighting projects in the chemical area with a value of thirty-one million Syrian pounds and in the engineering area with a value of about sixty-six million. In addition, the project of lighting the governmental complex with solar energy at a value of eighteen million was completed in addition to the implementation of the project of organizing and leveling the general site of the pumping station at a value of about eighty six million Syrian pounds.
Regarding the projects under construction, Al-Mansour pointed to the completion of the infrastructure project in the expansion of the engineering area with a total value of about one billion and one hundred and seventy-six million. This includes the implementation of roads, sewage and industrial projects and is expected to be completed before the end of this year. The engineering area last June was worth about 366 million.
Al-Mansour pointed out that there are a number of projects under approval as a project to continue the infrastructure works in the food area with a value of five hundred million and paving and construction of the road to the treatment plant with a length of four kilometers worth more than six hundred million Syrian pounds in addition to the project of implementing infrastructure in the chemical area with a value of seven hundred and fifty million. It was announced that a number of projects will be implemented as infrastructure works project in the residential island of Hasia Industrial valued at about three hundred and ninety-one million to serve fifteen divisions of four hundred and fifty-six apartments are implemented on Stages.
It is noteworthy that the percentage of the area sold since the creation of the industrial city in Hasya in 2004 to date amounted to 63.2 percent of the total area of 2,500 hectares.
