On the occasion of the National Environment Day, under the title (with our cooperation .. to improve our environment), the Directorate of Environment in Hama and its offices in peaceful areas, Masyaf and Al-Ghab, in cooperation with official institutions and civil society activities, have set up various activities to spread knowledge about the environment.
In the city of Hama, a voluntary environmental march was organized with the participation of official, civil and youth activities around its castle from the President's Bridge to the Youth Activities headquarters, followed by the launch of a cleanliness campaign around the citadel with a number of distinguished cleaners honored at the governorate level. Occasion.
Samer Al-Magout, Director of the Environment in Hama, told SANA that during the event, awareness leaflets were distributed and dialogue meetings were held with the residents in order to raise the level of environmental awareness in the community while launching environmental awareness campaigns to rationalize the consumption of natural resources, especially water.
The director of the Environment Office in Masyaf, Engineer Hassan Yousef, pointed out that an environmental walk was organized from the Environment Office to the Citadel with a clean campaign inside the castle and environmental lectures in several cultural centers in the region with the organization of environmental awareness activities in a number of schools.
For his part, Eng. Kamal Al-Haj, Director of the Peaceful Environment Office, said that the office organized activities such as conducting awareness tours in peaceful schools, distributing leaflets, holding dialogue meetings with the residents to raise their awareness about the environment, putting posters urging the protection of the environment, reducing its pollution, rationalizing the consumption of natural resources and conducting laboratory analyzes of samples taken. Of water tanks in schools.
For his part, Eng. Aktham Al-Asaad, Director of the Environment Office in Al-Ghab pointed out that the office carried out several environmental activities in cooperation with the administration of Suhail Al-Maqdisi School in Skailbieh through an environmental awareness tour about personal hygiene and school cleanliness and the importance of preserving natural resources.
