On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the glorious corrective movement, the General Sports Federation (Central Media Office) today announced the names of the winners of the Golden Pen Competition 2019 during a ceremony held at its headquarters in Damascus.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) won the first place in the photo competition of the colleague Moataz Al Mawed, while the second place went to the photographer Ali Hanoun (press office of the General Sports Federation).
Hassan Al-Khater (Syrian Satellite) and Dana Awad (Sama Satellite Channel) came in first place in the TV Report Competition. (Radio Suryana FM).
Malek Hammoud (Syrian News) was awarded the best information material on Syrian sports during the war years.
At the end of the ceremony, the winners were honored by the winners of the first and second places in each competition and honored colleague Mahmoud Gargoura of Al-Watan newspaper, who issued a new sports book in cooperation with the General Sports Union entitled (Syrian League .. Flashes and Champions), where it is included in the sports encyclopedia and is an important addition to the sports library.
President of the General Sports Federation Major General Mowaffak Juma said that the competition comes within the plan of the Sports Federation, a step towards fostering creativity and activating the fair competition of the official pen, pointing out that the sports media system is an essential component of Syrian sports and had a prominent role during the war years in highlighting the activities and achievements of Syrian sports Participated in various continental and international tournaments.
The head of the organizing committee of the competition, Safwan Al-Hindi, explained that the number of participants reached 43 colleagues from different Syrian media.The jury selected the winning types based on specific criteria set by the importance of offering to the community and achieve the characteristics of the type tight and complement the elements of the presentation and objectivity of the presentation and media language.
The winner of the Best Photo Press Award, Moataz, told SANA Sports Representative that the competition is very important as it witnesses distinguished entries each year, adding that his first place and honoring will be a great incentive for him in his work to move forward and participate in more upcoming festivals. Those who are honored are pleased with their achievements and their keenness to participate in this competition and achieve an active presence, especially in light of the great interest received by the sports media and sports in Syria.
