Tehran-Sana
Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said regional alliances are a guarantee of sustainable security in the region, pointing to the failure of US attempts to form an international coalition under the pretext of establishing security in the Gulf.
Shamkhani said during a meeting with Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi in Tehran today that "countries that have always worked to create tension and chaos in the region and the launch of multiple wars and the spread of terrorism never seek stability and security of the Gulf."
Shamkhani explained that the continuation of the Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people is another indication of the approach to war and said that the continuation of this genocide serves the interests of the enemies of peace and regional security such as America and the Zionist entity.
For his part, Bin Alawi praised the friendly relations between Iran and Oman in various fields, stressing that achieving sustainable security in the region needs agreement and understanding between its countries.
The Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed his country's welcome and support any step and initiative to reduce tension in the region, especially Yemen.
During his meeting with Alawi, Zarif pointed to the constructive role of the Sultanate of Oman in dealing with regional issues, describing the relations of the two countries as comprehensive and very good.
Zarif discussed with Bin Alawi a wide range of bilateral, regional and international issues.
