The sales of the Syrian Grape Manufacturing Company in Sweida witnessed an increase of 13 percent during the current year compared to last year.
The general manager of the company, Eng. Fadi Shqair, told a SANA reporter today that the amount of sales since the beginning of the year to the end of last month amounted to 341 thousand liters at a value of 566 million pounds compared to 294 thousand liters with a value of 480 million pounds during the same period last year.
Shuqair attributed the increase in the sales movement to the return of markets in some governorates to market the company's products due to the improvement of conditions in it, pointing out that the work of the company is going on despite the existence of difficulties, most notably the spread of counterfeit products to their products in the markets and competition from the private sector.
One of the most important outlets for farmers to drain the grape crop is the Swedish grape manufacturing company.
