The Libyan army spokesman, Major General Ahmed Al-Mesmari, announced today the detention of a Turkish regime ship off the coast of Derna.

"The ship was towed to the Ras Al-Hilal port to inspect, verify its cargo and take internationally recognized procedures in such cases," Al-Mismari said in a statement carried by the Libyan center site, pointing out that the ship carries the flag of Grenada and is led by a crew consisting of Turks.

He added that the naval company "Combat Sousse" seized the ship and arrested its crew while patrolling the Libyan regional waters off the coast of Derna.

The Director of Moral Guidance in the Libyan Army, Brigadier Khaled Al Mahjoub affirmed earlier today that the army has the ability, strength and popular will that enables it to face all the plans of the Turkish regime, indicating that the air and navy arms are on full alert to target any foreign forces.
