"Stop the homemade traffic jam": With this demand, the Wolfratshauser list is currently collecting signatures for a parking ban in Waldram.

Wolfratshausen - Things can get pretty tight in Waldram: Some of the streets in Wolfratshausen's southernmost district are already narrow. Residents and guests who leave their cars there exacerbate the problem.

Wolfratshauser Liste initiates signature collection

The Wolfratshauser List wants to take action against this grievance - and has initiated a collection of signatures. With the demand "Stop the homemade traffic jam", the new group around Helmut Forster, Dr. Manfred Fleischer and Mayor candidate Richard Kugler overwritten their leaflets. The requirement: a “two-sided, continuous parking ban” from the Gasthof zur Post to the confluence of the Sudetenstraße along Faulhaberstraße, the main traffic axis of the 4000-inhabitant district.

Waldram: Wolfratshauser Liste calls for “two-sided, continuous parking ban”

Fleischer himself lives in Waldram - and knows the situation “from the inside out” in his own words. Since the street was renovated a few months ago - and in this connection the pavement was widened - "the situation is no longer practical," he says. "Wide sidewalks, car traffic and parking - you can't do everything at once," says Fleischer. When cars are parked along the street, there is hardly any one-way traffic, "you can see that every morning and evening". If an ambulance or a garbage truck then wants to snake through the parked cars, the chaos is complete.

174 signatures have already been collected

So far, Fleischer is satisfied with the feedback from the population about the leaflet campaign. 174 signatures had come back from a mailing - "I haven't counted the many signatures at our information stands yet," says Fleischer. In Waldram, this traffic problem is a huge issue "With the campaign, the group" wanted to ask the citizens what they want ". The reactions are "overwhelming".

Reactions are "overwhelming"

It is not yet clear when the collected signatures will be handed over to Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner (BVW). “First of all, we continue to collect,” says Fleischer.

The Wolfratshauser List also resists settlement pressure - and attests to the pedagogue's ignorance.
