After resisting the attempts of the PRO so that Miguel Angel Pichetto put himself in charge of the General Audit of the Nation, the Radical Civic Union (UCR) formalized this Friday the proposal for the radical Jesús Rodríguez to assume the leadership of that control body .
The radicals materialized the nomination through a letter that was given to the heads of Deputies and Senators, Sergio Massa and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, respectively.
Rodriguez currently serves as an auditor of the AGN and now the National Committee of the UCR seeks to put him in charge of that control body.
Last December, when days left for Mauricio Macri to leave the Presidency, radicalism came to curb the efforts of the PRO so that Pichetto is nominated to lead the AGN.
It was the head of the UCR, Alfredo Cornejo, who was responsible for communicating to his partners within the Together for Change coalition that the place would be for a leader of radicalism because the elected must represent the opposition space with greater parliamentary representation.
In the note that was sent to Congress this Friday, and signed by Cornejo, it was stated: "We consider the above mentioned constitutional and legal norms fulfilled, and satisfied the content of the Joint Resolution dated February 12, 2002, as regards the powers of the Party that I represent, requesting the designation of the proposal ”.
Meanwhile, from the National Committee of the UCR said that radicalism yields the vacant place that Rodriguez occupied a Republican Proposal (PRO ), as a gesture of unity in the Together for Change coalition.
