Markus Landthaler (FWG) came to 46.9 percent in the Bavaria 2020 local election , his challenger Wolfgang Morlang (BP) to 24.9 percent . Due to the corona crisis * , the second ballot can only be carried out by postal vote * . This interactive map * gives you an overview of how the other Bavarian communities voted on March 15th. On election Sunday you will find out the forecasts and results of the election in the live ticker.

Mayor candidates in Bad Tölz

Incumbent Josef Janker (CSU) no longer takes office after twelve years in office due to age reasons. Four candidates apply for succession. Ingo Mehner is running for the CSU. Michael Lindmair goes for the free voters . into the race, for the Greens Franz Mayer-Schwendner. All three are already on the city council. Michael Ernst, who is running for the SPD, is not yet represented on the committee.

Mayor election in the Loisachtal:

Bad Heilbrunn: incumbent Thomas Gründl (CSU) is back. He has been in office for twelve years. As in 2008, he got competition from Konrad Specker, who competed for the free voters. In addition to their two lists, there is also one of the Greens. All three parties are currently represented on the local council.

Benediktbeuern: No mayor is elected here on March 15. After the sudden death of incumbent Hans Kiefersauer, the new mayor was elected in the summer. Toni Ortlieb (BBV) is the new town hall chief.

Bichl: Here, incumbent Benedikt Pössenbacher (UBB) is firmly in the saddle. Since 2008 he has been running the official business in the community. In all likelihood, he will have no opposing candidate. In the village there is also only a single list for the municipal council.

Kochel am See: Mayor Thomas Holz (CSU) may also be a gaunt Oktoberfest. No opposing candidate is in sight for him. Wood, which is also the Vice District Administrator, has been in office since 2007. Citizens have more choice in the municipal councils. The idea of wood to create only one unit list failed. Currently seven parties and groups are represented on the local council.

Schlehdorf: incumbent Stefan Jocher resumes . Since 2002 he has been in office for the “Loisach voters”. No opposing candidate is currently in sight.

Mayor election in the Isarwinkel:

Gaißach: Incumbent Stefan Fadinger (CSU) should remain the only applicant. Odd: In the past 70 years, the Gaissacher had a choice of two candidates. That was in 2012 when Fadinger competed for the first time and won against Andreas Dachs . Fadinger will have been in office for eight years in 2020; six would be normal for a term of office. However, since Gaißacher made a non-tour election, the term of office was extended in the course of the harmonization.

Greiling: The election of mayor should also be a clear thing in Greiling. Incumbent Anton Margreiter - in office since 2008 - is back for free voters.

Jachenau: Since the citizens' meeting it has been clear: incumbent Georg Riesch does not want anymore. His deputy Klaus Rauchberger would like to follow in his footsteps.

Lenggries: It gets exciting in Lenggries. At the town hall meeting in spring, incumbent Werner Weindl (CSU) had announced, relatively surprisingly, that he would not run after 24 years. The parties began to look for a successor. The CSU sends Christine Rinner into the race. Tobias Raphelt stands for the SPD. After a six-year break, the SPD again draws up a list of local councils. The Free Voters have nominated Markus Landthaler. The Bavarian Party also has a candidate, Wolfgang Morlang . For the first time in 2020 there will also be a list of the Greens. As of now, however, they do not represent any candidate for mayor.

Sachsenkam: The candidate who is applying to succeed Hans Schneil (CSU / Bürgerliche) is no stranger to the district. Andreas Rammler (CSU / Bürgerliche) has so far made headlines as a member of the punk rock band Scorefor and chairman of the FC Bayern fan club. Now he wants to be mayor of his home town. Incidentally, there are two lists for the municipal council this time. In addition to Rammler's groups, the Greens have also put together applicants for the first time.

Reichersbeuern: For a long time it looked as if Ernst Dieckmann remained without a candidate. The free voter, who won against incumbent Maria Fährmann (CSU) in 2014, was able to prepare for a relaxed election evening. But now there is a challenger: Georg Miederer from the joint list Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, ÖDP and Independent Citizens Reichersbeuern (UBR) also claims the mayor's chair in the Reichersbeurer town hall.

Wackersberg: The search for a successor to Alois Bauer was difficult. With Jan Göhzold (FWG) - currently managing director and treasurer in the town hall - the two location lists have now agreed on an applicant.
