Damascus-Sana
A baby was injured due to the collapse of the floor of the room of an old Arab house in Al-Haqla area in the square in Damascus.
The head of the Field Services Department, engineer, Ayham Al-Akka, told SANA that this morning, a collapse occurred on the floor of a room in an old Arab house made of mud and wood, consisting of two floors. The ground was abandoned, while a family of father and mother and a baby lived on the second floor.
Al-Akka pointed out that the cause of the collapse was due to the leakage of sewage from the bathroom of the house, which led to the collapse of the floor of the room and the eight-month-old baby suffered injuries, as a result of which he was transferred to the hospital, indicating that the workshops of the Damascus governorate started to relay the backfill and support the remaining rooms.
