After a few years, the municipality of Pliening now has a child and youth officer again. In addition, the new municipal council has confirmed the senior citizen's office.

Pliening - The municipality of Pliening has another youth officer. More specifically: a child and youth officer. In the constituent meeting, the committee unanimously elected Tina Lucka (Greens) as a speaker. At the suggestion of the faction of Bündnis90 / Die Grünen , this honorary post was revived. The position had not been filled for years - because there was no demand for it. For the same reason, the youth room in the community center has been closed for a good three years. It is currently used as homeless shelter.

Pliening: youth officer for children

"I want to represent the interests of children and young people and be a link between them and the local council," said Lucka before the decision by the local council, why they apply for volunteering. In the future, the title should no longer only be called "Youth Officer", but should also explicitly include the children . Tina Lucka is a mother of two small children.

Pliening City Council confirmed unanimously

As in previous years, there will continue to be a senior citizen: Angelika Diefenthaler (CSU). She had already said at the last meeting of the old town council that she wanted to continue to hold the office - because it had become a life's work for her to look after the elderly. Diefenthaler organizes regular senior afternoons in the community center as well as excursions for senior citizens.

The new local council also unanimously confirmed Diefenthaler in her office as senior adviser.

The decisions of the new municipal council in the voting for the occupation of the 2nd and 3rd mayor's office were anything but unanimous.
