Salam explained that the fire broke out among the dry land herbs starting from the west of the ancient town and extended towards the lands of Dama, Green, and Leben, and extended to large areas, most of them covered with dry herbs, and came on field crops of wheat and barley, and the affected areas were not yet counted.

For his part, a source in the Sweida Fire Brigade pointed out that the fire suppression and encirclement work continues to limit its extension, pointing out that it is located within the rugged rocky resort area, which makes the possibility of extinguishing the fire mechanisms to the places of fire spreading in some areas difficult where it is used to deal with it with individual equipment and means .
