“Guides by passion”, this has been the founding line of the company since its creation, which has become its motto over time. Allibert Trekking is indeed, at the origin, the story of three high mountain guides: Philippe Allibert accompanied by Simone his wife, Jef Tripard and Jean-Luc Poulat, who decided in 1975 to create their travel agency since a Grenoble apartment.
45 years later, the adventure of Allibert Trekking brings together a large team of organizers. Many logisticians and hundreds of tour guides design and organize trips on foot, by bike, by ski or even by kayak, on five continents.
Virtuous guides
Since its creation, Allibert Trekking has made it a point of honor to be part of a responsible approach. In 2008, the agency also obtained the ATR label “Acting for Responsible Tourism”, awarded by the association of the same name, which since 2004 brings together tour operators concerned about their impact on the planet and its inhabitants.
With 1,600 trips offered to date, the Allibert Trekking guides accompany walkers on French and European trails, but also discover landscapes and people from around the world. Trained and sensitized on a very regular basis to respect nature and people, the guides, whether French or local, pay particular attention to these two aspects.
Develop adventure tourism
From the Far North to African safaris, from the balconies of Everest to the mythical parks of the American West, from lands and cultures far from Patagonia to Madagascar, the journeys of Allibert Trekking make it possible to discover still preserved territories, in taking care to minimize the traces of its passage.
For the coming years, the agency will continue the adventure by offering authentic experiences to as many people as possible. " Never us ed from our true nature trekkers, close and respectful of people and nature ," says Frédéric Giroir, CEO.
