It has been almost a year since Chef Raz Rahav (OCD) unexpectedly announced the closure of his popular "Ducky Razi" sandwich stand, at the end of a successful year and a half where he was on his way to becoming a Tel Aviv institution. Now, the decorated chef has decided to revive the unique, but slightly different, sandwich concept in the underground.

The original booth from Tchernichovsky Street in Tel Aviv will not open, but Rahab's OCD restaurant will begin selling a limited supply of sandwiches from the menu and a number of menus in the coming days, between 12:00 and 16:00. All sandwiches will sell for about NIS 40, while the desserts will cost 20.

In the sandwiches you can find the purple cabbage sandwich ( purple cabbage, browned butter, pear chutney, young goat cheese and rocket bread cereal), the mac and cheese sandwich in the vegetarian and meat version (mac and cheese, buttered butter, Crisp, cornflakes stuffed with Pan De Mi bread) and the chicken sandwich and corn (coleslaw salad with corn, dill and decomposed chicken, mustard, aioli, garlic bread and cereal bread). In the dessert section are brownies, chocolate chip cookies and corn puffs (puffs stuffed with sweet corn cream and popcorn).

The sandwich booth, which opens at the Saul Boutique Hotel on Tchernichovsky Street in Tel Aviv, opened in March 2018 and became a hit among Tel Aviv diners almost immediately with a variety of morning and afternoon sandwiches, all made from fresh and expensive ingredients prepared on the premises. Subsequently, with the arrival of Wolt Shipping Service, the sandwich became one of the popular shipping order destinations, even though most of the popular dishes could not be ordered at all.

Rahab, a young chef, not yet 30, became famous when he opened OCD, a restaurant where you have to book a place months in advance. About two years ago, this year's chef of the prestigious French guide "Gu Miu" was crowned and the restaurant received a very high score, which in fact became a relatively anonymous chef one of the most famous in Israel.

Sandwich shipments can be ordered through the WOLT app

Orders can be placed between Monday and Friday from 12:00 to 16:00 or until the inventory is finished.
