On Tuesday, the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice authoritatively changed the leadership of the opposition Primero Justicia (PJ) party, as it did for Accion Democratica on Monday. The TSJ has entrusted the management of PJ to a former activist of this organization: Jose Brito. The latter had been expelled from the party last January on suspicion of corruption. The new party leadership will be able to "use the electoral map, logo, symbols, emblems, colors and any other concept specific to this political organization" .

This judgment was pronounced after a complaint by Jose Brito to the TSJ. It is a new coup against the opposition on the part of the Chavista power, the Supreme Court of Justice having no independence vis-à-vis the government of Nicolas Maduro. The beheadings of Primero Justicia and Accion Democratica come after all the parties supporting interim president Juan Guaido have announced their decision not to participate
