The Elysee Palace announced on Monday the list of ministers making up the new government, three days after the appointment of Jean Castex as Prime Minister. The Secretaries of State will be known in the coming days.
Friday, the new head of government had promised "to appoint the government as soon as possible". He had met several times this weekend and Monday with Emmanuel Macron to finalize this new team.
Here is the composition of the ministers of the new government:
Bruno Le Maire: Minister of the Economy, Finance and Recovery
Elisabeth Borne: Minister of Labor, Employment and Integration
Barbara Pompili: Minister for the Ecological Transition
Eric Dupont-Moretti: Keeper of the Seals, Minister of Justice
Olivier Véran, Minister of Health
Jean-Yves Le Drian: Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs
Florence Parly: Minister of the Armed Forces
Jacqueline Gourault: Minister of Territorial Cohesion
Gérald Darmanin: Minister of the Interior
Emmanuelle Wargon: Minister of Housing
Julien Denormandie: Minister of Agriculture and Food
Jean-Baptiste Djebarri: Ministers of Transport
Roseyne Bachelot: Minister of Culture
Jean-Michel Blanquer: Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports
Sébastien Lecornu: Minister for Overseas
Annick Girardin: Minister of the Sea
