On the night of Monday 3 to Tuesday 4 August, a man in his thirties was killed in a shootout in Eybens, south of Grenoble (Isère), according to France Bleu Isère. He was a passenger in a car that was riddled with bullets. Injured, the driver of the vehicle, also in his thirties, was transported to the CHU Grenoble-Alpes.

This new shooting is the sixth of the summer and the second of August, according to local media. Early Sunday morning, a body carrying three bullet holes had been found in front of a bakery with a night counter. The 29-year-old victim was on parole. She was domiciled in the Arlequin district, on the southern outskirts of Grenoble.

In Isère, this black series worries the police. "It is worrying and it has been years that we denounce these facts on Grenoble, that we say that we need human and material resources to stem this violence and harsher penal responses" , declared to France Bleu Isère a representative of the Alliance Police union.
