For the second time in two days, a Border Police force was attacked in the afternoon (Thursday) while it was operating in the locality of Yitzhar. The case is currently being investigated.

The Border Police said: "We will not move on to the agenda of the recent incidents in which the fighters who are working in the sector are being protected in protecting the residents and enforcing law and order."

Last night, dozens of masked settlers attacked with stones and bottles of paint the Border Police forces of the Israel Police operating near the settlement. A Border Patrol fighter was lightly injured as a result of a stone hit and other fighters were hit by paint bottles. The rioters even punctured a number of tires of Border Police vehicles. The forces responded by dispersing demonstrations and additional forces were rushed to the scene.

A police spokesman said that "this is a serious incident of violence against the fighters who engaged in the morning together with the Civil Administration in the demolition of three illegally erected wooden structures in the Shevah outpost near Yitzhar. The demolition has ended."
