The municipality council of Kafr al-Lahef village in the governorate of As-Suwayda has completed the works of laying asphalt shirts for three new roads in the village to improve the service situation in it.

The head of the municipality council, Nawras Abu Fakhr, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the project comes to serve the citizens in the village of Kafr al-Lahef, facilitating traffic and improving the service reality in the village, indicating that the preparation now includes starting a project to lay the remains of quarries for secondary roads that reach the homes of citizens.

Abu Fakhr also pointed out that the General Secretariat of As-Suwayda Governorate recently issued an announcement to contract for the implementation of an investment project for packaging and canning medicinal and aromatic plants for the benefit of the municipality of Kafr al-Lahef in order to achieve returns that will positively affect the lives of citizens.

The village of Kafr Lahf is located in the northwestern countryside of the As-Suwayda governorate, 17 km from the governorate center.

In a related context, the city council of Shahba, in Sweida, completed the works of the sewage project in the city within two sites, the first from the southern neighborhood, passing through the telephone societies housing to the city center and the second to the east of the eastern Corniche site, indicating that the length of the project's lines is about 700 meters.

The council pointed out that the percentage of sanitation service in the city of Shahba is only 28 percent, and that the council needs subsidies and support for its imports to serve the majority of neighborhoods with sanitation, which still depend on technical injustice, as this entails costs due to suction operations in addition to environmental damage.

Shahba is the second largest city in the As-Suwayda governorate, with a population of about 50 thousand people.
