Six Chadian soldiers were killed in two separate attacks in the north and near Lake Chad, governors of the regions concerned told AFP on Saturday.

", killing three passengers and injuring two others, the police told the AFP the governor of the province of Tibesti, General Ali Maide Kebir.
In the Tibesti massif, in the north of the country and on the border with Libya, the Chadian army faces rebels and gold miners.
At the other end of the country, in the Lake Chad area, it regularly confronts jihadists affiliated with Boko Haram who have found refuge in this vast swampy expanse, on the border with Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon.

Despite a large operation by the Chadian army in April against the jihadist group born in Nigeria in 2009, Boko Haram attacks in Lac province continue.
More than 360,000 people have fled their homes to avoid attacks and due to flooding, according to the International Organization for Migration.
Contacted by AFP, the Chadian army did not confirm the results of the two attacks.
