Player Bashar Zalma achieved first place in the refresher chess tournament held by the Workers Sports Club in Homs with the participation of 26 male and female players.
In a statement to SANA Sports delegate, Workers Club President Taher Al-Fares explained that the return of the refresher tournaments is very important because it renews the spirit of play and enthusiasm among the players and gives them the opportunity to friction, pointing out that the club supports the game of chess and contributes to creating heroic players that support our national teams.
In his turn, coach Bashar Al-Mustafa considered that the weekly refreshing tournaments play a major role in keeping the players fully prepared, as they enhance their performance and stimulate their minds and memory, noting that the tournament was held on the Swiss system for five rounds with a time of ten minutes for each player.
