The means of personal protection from wearing a muzzle, especially in public places, adhering to spatial distancing, washing hands with soap and water, and sterilizing surfaces remain constant measures to prevent infection with the Coronavirus, according to the head of the Internal Diseases Division at Ibn Al-Nafees Hospital, Dr. Mazen Qusaibati, a specialist in chest diseases.
Dr. Qusibati pointed out in a statement to Sana that the Corona virus has not yet ended in the world, and the possibility of transmitting infection and a new peak in terms of increasing the number of infections is still in place, stressing the importance of adhering to preventive measures, especially in places of gathering such as markets, schools, work, places of worship, events and meetings to ensure health security in society.
Dr. Qusaibati explained that the local infection curve is currently in a flattened condition compared to the previous months and most of the cases that see hospitals and clinics with moderate to mild symptoms and the number of severe cases decreased, but this does not prevent all precautionary measures from being taken to ensure that cases do not increase.
Dr. Qusibati noted the expansion of centers and hospitals by the Ministry of Health to receive patients in the event of a new wave of Corona, as well as the involvement of private sector laboratories to conduct LBCR tests for detecting Corona to relieve pressure on the Ministry's laboratories in addition to updating the treatment protocol and distributing it to Hospitals concerned with treating Corona patients.
