Children wearing a white shirt, long pants and a black kippah on the road to school: this mundane scene sparks a wave of outrage in Israel.
"Rebellion" headlined the country's two main dailies, while other media protested against the evils of a
"civil disobedience campaign"
and a
"state within a state"

All thus reacted on edge against the categorical refusal of part of the Haredim community, literally the “God-fearing”, in other words the ultra-Orthodox Jews, to obey the restrictions imposed by the government against the Covid epidemic. -19.

The containment in force since the start of the second wave was partially lifted on Sunday.
But all schools are supposed to remain closed until further notice.
A very influential rabbi, Chaim Kanievsky, ignored it and ordered his flock to ignore the authorities' prescriptions.
