2020-10-20T11:22:19.615Z

The jury is made up of eight lawyers and chaired by Valérie Toranian, journalist, novelist and director of La Revue des Deux Mondes.

Three years ago, the Oh les beaux jours Festival!

responded to an original proposal from the Marseille Bar: to set up a literary award.

Why ?

Because it is essential to promote the place of the Bar within the city, the Order - at the initiative of the Bâtonnier Yann Arnoux-Pollak and Sylvie Campocasso, lawyer at the Marseille Bar and member of the Culture Commission - created the Literary Prize of the Marseille Bar.

It is financially supported by our traditional partner, the Société de Brokerage des Barreaux,

”he explained in the press release launching the initiative.

This prize has one objective: it aims to reward an author whose book (fiction or non-fiction), published in 2020, deals with a subject related to the professional or ethical concerns of lawyers.

The jury is made up of eight lawyers and chaired by a personality from the literary world, Valérie Toranian, journalist, novelist and director of

La Revue des Deux Mondes

.

As for the selection of the eight books, it does not suffer from the comparison with the other grand prix.

Some of them have already been praised by critics or by other juries or both, such as Laurent Petitmangin, already double winner of the Georges-Brassens and Stanislas Prizes (which distinguishes a first novel).

The prize is endowed with 3,000 €.

The presentation is scheduled at the national theater of La Criée on November 18.

The selection of the eight authors:

Yoann Barbereau,

In the jails of Siberia

(Stock)

Constance Debré,

(Flammarion)

Negar Djavadi,

(Liana Levi)

Rebecca Lighieri,
