The world of culture shaken once again by the health crisis.
On Monday, the world of Italian cinema protested against the decision of the head of government Giuseppe Conte to impose the closure of cinemas.
Many directors and film associations have sent an open letter to the President of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini, to criticize this measure.

At a time when we are working with difficulty to achieve a recovery, forcing cinemas to cease their activity again risks seriously compromising the future of an entire sector,
" wrote the signatories of this letter, including the directors. Nanni Moretti, Pupi Avati, Paolo Virzí and Marco Bellocchio.
Italian cinemas closed for the first time in early March, when the peninsula was hit hard by the first wave of the Covid-19 epidemic.
They were only allowed to reopen their doors in June, with an obligation to respect social distancing.
