On returning from a walk, this inmate triggered the metal detection gantry but refused to comply with the usual checks.

From insults to threats, he spat, punched, bit blood in one ear and had to be overpowered by several officers, according to the Ufap Unsa Justice union.

Appraisal: four injured who received two to five days of total incapacity for work (ITT).

This detainee is well identified: since he has been with us, there have been eight officers affected by his various actions.

He is in his thirties, a 'psy' profile with regular acting out.

And his upcoming release date does not prevent him from taking action in classic moments of a day in detention,

”Alain Chevallier, secretary general of Ufap Unsa in Saint-Quentin, told AFP. Fallavier.

The union asked for a response "

commensurate with the gravity of the facts

".

Asked by AFP, the interregional directorate of prison services confirmed the assault and assured that the author would receive "

disciplinary proceedings

".

A "

report to the prosecution

" will be made and "

there will be an exclusion of the detainee from the establishment by measure of order and security (MOS)

", added the administration.

The union hopes for a transfer "

in the short term

" because "

a request in this direction has already been filed several months ago after previous attacks,

" said Alain Chevallier.

"

When a detainee is moved, it allows local breathing because it breaks a dynamic and often it brings a period of respite because the detainee must adapt to a new establishment

", explained the trade unionist.

Such a transfer is all the more necessary as the disciplinary district of Saint-Quentin "

is full and mobilizes a lot of agents

".
