(CNN) -

Lawyers for Donald Trump's campaign dropped the lawsuit seeking a review of all ballots cast on Election Day.

The move came after they found that the margin of victory for the presidential race in Arizona could not be exceeded.

"Since the close of the hearing yesterday, the tabulation of votes across the state has made a court ruling on presidential voters unnecessary," the Trump campaign wrote in a dossier.

The campaign said it wanted the judge to rule on its requests to review the votes for two elections against.

The Trump campaign filed the lawsuit on Saturday alleging that some voters were confused on Election Day and feared their ballots would not be counted if the vote-tabulating machines classified their ballots as overvotes.

They were seeking a manual review of ballots marked by the machine as "overvotes" on the grounds that it could result in thousands of votes for President Donald Trump.

During a six-hour hearing yesterday, a Trump campaign attorney withdrew his request and told the judge that he would only seek a review of the vote counts if the number of so-called overvotes exceeded the margin of victory.

The judge reserved the decision.

Maricopa County attorneys and the Secretary of State said the machines marked 191 ballots as possible overvotes for the presidential race.

CNN projected on Thursday that Joe Biden would win Arizona.

He has a voting margin of more than 11,000 votes over Trump.

Maricopa County attorneys and the secretary of state released documents Friday noting that the latest ballot is "irrelevant" to the Trump campaign's claim.

They reported that the vote difference between Biden and Trump is 11,414 votes with 10,315 ballots remaining.

The total number of votes marked as possible overvotes stood at 191.
