The announcement of a loud "bang with firelight and smoke development" in the gravel pit in the Antdorf industrial park caused a large-scale deployment of the fire brigade, police and rescue service in the district on Wednesday afternoon.

As the district fire chief Rüdiger Sobotta announced on Thursday, the Penzberg police had alerted the control center at around 17:36.
There was a suspicion of an explosion.
In addition to 25 emergency services from the Antdorf fire brigade, firefighters from Iffeldorf, Habach and Seeshaupt as well as members of the district fire inspection were deployed.
According to their commander Christian Abt, the Penzberg fire brigade also drove to the Antdorfer gravel pit with 15 men.
Large-scale operation: no traces of an explosion on site
On site, however, the emergency services could not find any traces of an explosion or the like, as the commander of the Antdorf fire brigade, Franz Thanner, says.
Although members of his troop searched the area together with the Penzberg police, "nothing was found in the gravel pit," said Thanner.
There are no buildings on the site.
There are only containers there, all of which have been examined for damage or signs of fire.
“But nothing was found.” The mission was over after around 45 minutes.
As a spokesman for the Penzberg police says, the area was checked again on Thursday.
But even then, the officers found no traces of fire or gunfire.
"No place of fire has been found." On Wednesday afternoon, however, witnesses saw two strangers on bicycles drive away from the gravel pit.
A complaint against a stranger runs.
As the police spokesman also announced, according to the owner of the gravel pit, several young people were spotted on the site around three weeks ago who had thrown spray cans into a fireplace and ignited firecrackers.
