Struggle for placements: "Promote primaries for blue and white list" Israel today

Despite internal hopes that exist in blue and white that the gallop for the election will stop, the party has begun preparing for the election.

"Israel Today" has learned that senior members of the party plan to flood the issue of primaries, which does not exist in blue and white, and work with the chairman, Bnei Gantz, for their existence. 

A senior official in blue and white told Israel Today that "the procedure is done very gently and it will be submitted to my son. No one wants to shake the party, but we want it to be democratic and not reach the same situation as Yesh Atid, where Yair Lapid actually determines everything."

The same senior official also confirmed that preparations for the primaries demand have begun to bubble up in the field recently, but have permeated up to senior officials on the list who are currently considering how to act on the matter so as not to damage their loyalty to the chairman. 

Blue and White is a young party on the political map, and party members and its positions are determined only by the chairman, who consults with his associates.

"Israel Today" has learned that senior officials in blue and white, who until now have felt uncomfortable at all raising the idea in order not to harm the chairman, Bnei Gantz, have made a decision to promote in front of him, as the next election approaches, a move of party primaries. 

These are not primaries for the election of the chairman and an official challenge to Bnei Gantz at this stage, but primaries that will determine the 1st places until the continuation of the list. Blue and white. 

"Gently" in front of the chairman

A source close to details in blue and white told Israel Today that "the goal is not to harm my son, but to leverage the power of blue and white. There are other good and worthy people in the party who deserve to lead, or improve their position." 

It will be recalled that in September, MK Ofer Shelach surprised the chairman of Yesh Atid, Yair Lapid, when he declared in the media that he was interested in the primaries for the presidency of Yesh Atid.

In doing so, he challenged his partner and friend Lapid, who at the time responded "We will examine things" and since then nothing has changed, beyond the distance between Shelach and Lapid.

In talks with Israel Today, the officials in blue and white clarified that they learned from the same event in the party that was their former partner, and therefore the primaries they are interested in in blue and white will not be presented as primaries for the party leadership, but for the positions. 

In Bnei Gantz's environment, there was a complete surprise about the issue of primaries and panic about such a possibility.

A blue and white response was not provided until the issue closed.
