The inquiries on the cause of death by HKUST student Zhou Zi today (26th) entered the 9th day.

An adult volunteer first responder confessed that Zi Le suffered from incontinence and his shorts were wet and smelled of urine.

He also said that during the rescue, "there was no obstacle to their behavior," but the riot police had instructed them to leave.

The police representative complained that his written evidence did not mention the police officer yelling to leave, saying that nothing happened at all.

The volunteer first aid worker originally disagreed, but finally said: "I have heard someone talk about leaving at the scene, but it must be the police who said it."

The deceased Zhou Zile (22 years old) was found lying on the lower platform on the second floor of the Suntech Parking Lot A in the early morning of November 4 last year during the conflict between the police and the people. He died on the 8th of the same month.

Volunteer first responder Huaxia confessed that he passed the basic first aid course of St. John's Ambulance Team in 2014, but has not participated in the retest in recent years.

At around 1 am that night, he and several volunteer first aid workers were in Shangde Village. A male neighbour in shorts pointed to the parking lot of the accident and said that "someone fell."

Once shook his hand to show support

Hua followed the neighborhood to the second floor of the parking lot. When he saw firefighters dealing with the injured, he stepped forward to assist and was responsible for checking his left foot.

He pointed out that in addition to his mouth and nose, he also had blood stains on his left calf and made a painful sound, but he did not speak a complete sentence.

In addition, the private parts of the pants were wet and smelled of urine.

Hua once held the injured hand to show support.

Ask the reporter to wear reflective clothing to notify the injured family

Hua Xu said, digging out the wallet from his trouser pocket and handing it to the person wearing the reporter's reflective clothing. The other party looked through his ID and found that the injured was Zi Le and he was studying at the University of Science and Technology.

Hua Zhu contacted the school to find Zi Le’s family, and sent Zi Le’s ID photo to her friend, asking if she knew the injured person.

Half an hour later, his friend replied that he knew Zi Lok. Hua thought that Zi Lok would be taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital, so he asked his friend to wait there.

Riot police appeared but did nothing

Hua recalled that the riot police showed up during his treatment of the wounded and did not ask them what they were doing. The firefighters said they were saving people.

He also stated that two riot police officers had approached to take a look, but they did not cross Shibeng. The police stayed for a few minutes and then left.

Nothing unusual

No one was chasing or fighting in the parking lot of Huazhi, nor did he encounter unusual people or things.

When asked if there was any hindrance during the rescue, Hua replied: "There was no hindrance in behavior." He explained that the riot police "Yi Yan had already spoken loudly and wanted to leave," and verbally hindered the rescue.

Riot police yelled to someone to leave

When asked by the police representative Xiong Jianmin, Hua admitted that he had not witnessed anyone yelling to leave, but since the rescuer was beside the injured and the voice came from the road, that is, where the riot police was, he must be The police shouted.

He also said that he was not sure who the police were yelling at, but the fire response was saving people.

Police lawyer questioned that the statement was not mentioned

Xiong Dazhuang read out the two confessions that Hua took in January this year, saying that his confession was unhindered at the time and questioned why it was inconsistent with the confession in court.

Hua pointed out that when he recorded the confession, he said that he was not obstructed in his behavior, but it was explained that he heard a shout to leave; he reiterated that he was not disturbed in behavior, and that the record of the confession was consistent with his ideas, so he signed for confirmation.

He went on to explain that because he was in a hurry and felt nervous when recording his statement, he didn't mention it at the time, and his memory in court would be more accurate.

The officer asked if he thought the police should help

Xiong Dazhuang pointed out that the riot police did not yell at all to leave. Hua originally disagreed, but finally said: "I heard someone talk about leaving at the scene, but I am sure it was the police who said it." The magistrate asked whether it was because of mentality. The police should help, but the police officer did not act in this way and felt obstructed.

Hua agreed and confirmed that the firefighters did not ask the police for help at the time.

The inquiry continues.
