GAZETA WYBORCZA. - Do you remember when Deputy Prime Minister Kaczyński said in one of the pro-government newspapers that the European Union is a worse colonial empire than the Soviet Union?

This is scandalous.
Kaczyński, but also Morawiecki [Polish Prime Minister], debated this sort of thing from the parliamentary rostrum and, within Solidarna Polska [conservative party], it is routine.
It is above all an insult, historically absurd.
I recall that we were subjected to the Eastern bloc, when we have long aspired to join the European Union and we entered it by a decision taken following a two-day referendum, with the support of the Polish Pope.
