The fourth wave of the new crown pneumonia epidemic continued. On Friday (11th), there were 86 new confirmed cases in Hong Kong. Among them, 37 were of unknown origin, which increased to 7,378 cases, and more than 60 cases were initially confirmed.
The government announced the designation of 36 designated quarantine hotels. From the 22nd of this month, all people arriving in Hong Kong from countries other than China will need to take a special car from the airport to the designated quarantine hotel.
Zhang Zhujun, director of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Center for Health Protection, said that if there are unfamiliar confirmed cases in four units in the same building, the authorities may issue a mandatory testing order.
"Hong Kong 01" checked the data in the past month and found that at least 29 residential buildings had 4 or more confirmed cases, but only 3 of them required mandatory testing.
There have been 9 confirmed cases and 7 confirmed cases in Liman Mansion in Mong Kok and South Horizons in South District, respectively. Residents still do not need mandatory testing.
