The Russian Space Agency has warned Roscosmos of the possibility that the United States and its allies will implement military programs on the moon within the framework of the "Artemida" program, noting that it does not rule out this matter.
Deputy Director General of the Russian State Organization for International Cooperation at the International Space Agency, Sergey Saveliev, said during an interview with Sputnik that the Artemida Agreement “violates in various forms the generally recognized rules of international space law,” warning that “the American side does not comply with a direct ban on military activities on the moon.” .
Saveliev expressed concern about a "hidden move" represented by the militarization of outer space by the Americans if necessary.
Earlier, the US space agency "NASA" called on all countries to sign the so-called "Artemida agreements", which are a set of rules for interaction between countries in exploring the moon and distant outer space.
