The Gregory case, considered one of the most enigmatic cases in criminal history in France, was relaunched in June 2017 when the child's great-uncle and great-aunt - the Jacob couple who did not had never been worried before - and Murielle Bolle, one of the key figures in the case, were indicted.

But the court canceled her 1984 custody, while maintaining her statements before the gendarmes and the judge in which she accused her brother-in-law Bernard Laroche of having kidnapped the boy, before retracting.

Bernard Laroche was then shot dead by Jean-Marie Villemin in 1985.

According to

Le Parisien

, the prosecution judges this turnaround as

"insincere and only linked to family pressures"

.

She now opts for the scenario of an abduction committed by Bernard Laroche, who would then have given the child to the Jacob couple.

According to the daily, new indictments are expected in this case, even if the couple Jacob and Murielle Bolle were not heard by the magistrate Dominique Brault.

It is about unmasking the people who threatened the parents of Grégory Villemin by sending them anonymous threatening letters, in 1983 and 1984, by comparing the writings with texts written by different protagonists of the case.
