On the occasion of the annual celebration of the Tree Festival, within the “My Land of Gold” initiative, the Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, set up an afforestation campaign on the campus of the General Authority of Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.

The initiative included planting more than 100 olive and fruit trees in the garden of the house by young volunteers.

Dr. Labana Mashouh, Minister of Culture, confirmed in a statement to SANA that the aim of the initiative is to promote a culture of love for the land and giving and respect for the work of farmers and farmers who provide production without which a nation cannot rise to achieve food security and encourage youth to work and take care of the land, rebuild human confidence in their land and enhance their ability to Building goodness in his homeland, calling all young people to participate in this demonstration all over Syria.

As for Andre Maalouli, Director General of Dar Al-Assad, he pointed out that the Ministry of Culture, with the aim of supporting the idea of ​​the tree and its symbolism, and with the view that culture and art are life and creativity, seeks to establish a culture of love for the land through a cultural initiative linked to the tree while working to make it annual, considering that what distinguishes the initiative is to enhance belonging to the place Because the trees were planted with the participation of Dar Al-Assad employees as part of a voluntary work day by them, he commended the Ministry of Agriculture's support for the event in securing olive trees and fruit trees to decorate the place that is a cultural front for Syria.
