The number of individual employers continues to decline

The decline in the number of home employers outside of childcare has been confirmed (- 0.6% over one year at the end of 2019, after - 1.2% at the end of 2018).

But it is the use of childcare services that has recorded the strongest decline (844,000 employers in 2019).

The decline, which was only 0.5% in 2018, increased to 2.5% last year.

Regarding the employment of childminders, the fall even reached 3.1% over one year.
