It took the United States 292 days to reach 10 million COVID-19 cases, according to JHU data.
It only took the nation 54 days to add the other 10 million cases.

JHU recorded the first case of coronavirus in the United States on January 21, 2020.
97 days later, on April 27, the US reached 1 million cases.
45 days later, on June 11, the US reached millions of cases.
27 days later, on July 8, the US reached 3 million cases.
