Why change a formula that works?
Since 2013, men looking for a comfortable wardrobe while remaining chic and daring have worshiped Homme Plissé.
For his collection video, presented this January 21 for the Digital Fashion Week in Paris, we are immersed in the manufacturing mechanism of this unique material, before giving way to the silhouettes, presented by models in motion.
We then notice the iconic shapes of this line, which has made comfort its trademark.
The costume revisited by Issey Miyake Homme Plissé
The Japanese designer introduces, in line with his time, a recycled polyester fabric, available in black only, to facilitate the combination of the different pieces (short and long jacket, jacket, pants presented in two different widths).
Another exciting addition, new colors - petrol blue, faded coral - for the line inspired by classic male costume.
Miyake also offers innovative techniques, such as its version of tweed, for which the threads are dyed before weaving, for a less clear rendering than the perfectly applied colors of the usual Pleated Man wardrobe.
Tweed revisited by Issey Miyake, on a Plissé Homme coat
With this collection, Issey Miyake, its creator, breathes new life into this unique material which has been the subject of continuous research since 1988. Pleated after sewing, it gives a lighter fabric, in which it is easy to move.
The result is in perfect harmony with our new lifestyles.
