Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, received today a copy of the credentials of Ahmedou Adi Muhammad Al-Razi as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Damascus.

Minister Al-Miqdad welcomed the appointment of Ambassador Al-Razi to represent his country in Syria, wishing him success in his mission in a way that serves the bilateral relations between the two countries and in the interest of the two brotherly peoples of Syria and Mauritania.

Minister Al-Miqdad praised the relations between Syria and Mauritania, stressing the need to strengthen cooperation and brotherly ties between the two countries and push bilateral relations forward to rise to their best levels, expressing Syria's appreciation for Mauritania's position in support of it in its war on terrorism and stressing the need for concerted joint efforts and uniting sincere efforts to stand in the face of Western plans aimed at To the dismantling of state entities, especially the countries of our Arab region.
